Daily departures
Reykjavik Grand Tour
Operation daily at 13:00 (Duration: 3 hours)
Reykjavík offers most of what other cities have - perhaps on a smaller scale, but certainly not less interesting. This tour is a great introduction to Reykjavík past and present. Among the highlights: A walk in the city center, Hallgrimskirkja church, Asmundarsafn and Kjarvalsstadir museums, and Perlan observation point.
Horseback riding
Pick up daily at 9:30 and 13:30 (Duration: 3 hours (1½ hour riding))
This trip is an excellent trip for all those interested in trying the Icelandic horse, a trek on the hardy, sure-footed Icelandic horse is an experience to remember. Whether you are a beginner or expert, old or young, these friendly horses, with theyr alert and willing nature are indeed a pleasure to ride in their natural surroundings.
We pick you up at your hotel or guesthouse in Reykjavik and drive to the farm located only 15 minutes from Reykjavik. At the farm you will get all basic gear, such as helmets, boots and rain clothes (snowsuits in wintertime). We gather information about how much you have been riding and choose the proper horse to match your experience. After the ride we will take you back to your hotel or guesthouse.
Whale watching
Operation daily at 09:00, 13:00 and 17:00 (Duration: 3 hours)
A whale safari experience with Hafsulan, a catamaran type vessel. Due to its double hull it is far more stable than most ships of the same size. Hafsulan has a cruise speed of up to 24 miles per hour, which enables it to cover a large area in a relatively short time, and therefore it’s all the more easier to locate all types of whales.
Golden Circle
Operation daily at 09:00 (Duration: 8 hours)
This tours features the essence of Iceland, including natural wonders, such as the Geysir geothermal area, where hot springs are in abundance and the most active one, Strokkur, spouts every few minutes; Gullfoss the majestic waterfall and Thingvellir National Park. During this tour geology and history are especially emphasized. At Thingvellir the oldest, still active national parliament was founded in 930. The National Park is also of great geological interest and there we can see exactly where the earth is splitting apart.
Blue Lagoon Evening Tour
Operation daily at 18:00 (Duration: 4 hours)
Included: Transfer from and to hotel and entrance to the Blue Lagoon. Refreshments not included. NON-GUIDED TOUR.
Southshore Adventure
Departure at 9:00 (Duration: 10 hours)
Iceland’s South Shore is a lowland region of lush farmland, striking waterfalls, sandy black coastline, glaciers and charming towns and villages. This tour is ideal for nature lovers of all kinds. An opportunity to stand behind the plummeting Seljalandsfoss waterfall, walk up to the Skógafoss waterfall and gaze at Reynisdrangar rock formations. We will stop at the village Vík, which is surrounded by beautiful and impressive high bird cliffs and unique black sand shores.
Walking tour in the centre of Reykjavik
A guided walk through the city centre of Reykjavik including well known places like e.g. the harbour, the city hall, the Hallgrímskirkja church but also passing through less obvious sites in the centre. After approximately two hour walk the tour ends with a light lunch break at Café Loki with a taste of typical Icelandic recipies.
Alternative Reykjavik City Sightseeing: Culture and Nature
By Bus to Árbær Outdoor Museum, walk through the valleys Elliðaárdalur along the salmon river and Fossvogsdalur to the Pearl for coffee (approximately 1 hour walk) and further along the shore of Nauthólsvík and Skerjafjörður/Ægissíða to the City Center (another 1 hour walk) with the possibility to finish by going to the nearby Vesturbæjarlaug swimming pool for a relaxation in the "hot pots" .
Culture and Wool
Approximately 1 hour drive to Borgarnes town to see the Settlement or the Egils Saga Exhibition. A walk through the local Skallagrímsgarður park and driving back to Reykjavik, an approx. ½ stop will be made at Álafoss wool sale.
